As a registered nurse and healthcare consultant, I have extensive experience in helping medical centers achieve and maintain compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards. I have worked with various medical centers across the country to prepare them for their TJC Triennial survey, both as an internal and an external consultant. I have also assisted them with corrective action and response before the return state validation survey, ensuring that no findings were identified by the state surveyors. In addition, I have led teams to complete findings from Survey Readiness Assessment and trained them on how to conduct tracers and other methods to maintain survey readiness throughout the year. Furthermore, I have provided training during all my engagements to transfer knowledge and increase the internal capabilities of the local team. I have also reviewed policies and procedures for compliance and implementation, and provided recommendations for improvement.
